Oldham Mumps Station Demolition
When Network Rail wanted to demolish Bolton Station and replace it with a much smaller one, the council refused. They said they wanted people to know they had arrived in Bolton at a station that suited the town stature and history. Today Oldham has some wind swept glorified bus shelter.
